The
Sky Scan N310 is a very good telescope for amateurs who are not yet
accustomed to telescopes and have just started out. It has a high focal
ratio and hence gives good image quality. It is very useful
for moon and planetary viewing. With an eyepiece of 18mm focal length,
a good deal of details can be seen on planets. Jupiter and 4 of it's
moons, Jupiter's band, Saturn, phases of Venus can be seen very
clearly. The moon of course can be observed in detail. Plaeids, the
Orion Nebula can be better seen with an eyepiece of around 30mm.
