Optics was founded and promoted as a partnership company in the year
1977 by Mr.B.R.Jesrani and Mr.C.N.Patel. |

Company started off with the manufacture of opthalmic
lenses and amateur quality telescopes. |

With
the gradual acquiring of expertise, the company shifted its focus to
precision optics and opto-mechanical assemblies.
|
|
|
During
the past 25 years of growing from a small beginning, the Company
established manufacturing facilities for precision optics, imported
from world renowned manufacturers. Variety of optical test equipments
were also imported from time to time to scale up the inspection
capabilities for precision optics.

The
Company presently has a corporate office in Mumbai and factory at
Umargam, on the west coast of India, about 150 Kilometers north of
Mumbai.

The
Company follows a policy of continuously upgrading its facilities to
cater to the increasing demands of optics.

The
Company has a strength of
about 65 employees. The factory layout is in an area of about 10,000
square feet.

Though
being a family run unit, the Company is having well defined
organization structure for efficiently managing its day-to-day
operations.

Astro
manufactures a variety of optical products to a high degree of
precision and accuracy to meet global standards.
