The main function of an
Eyepiece
is to magnify the image formed by the objective of the telescope. The
eyepiece is a combination of lenses with a minimum of 2 lenses in
simple eyepieces and going upto 11 or 12 lenses in complicated
ones. A single lens can be used in the cheapest of telescopes but
it has too many deficiencies. The performance of the telescope as
a whole depends on the type and quality of the eyepiece used and
this makes it a very important part of the telescope.
The eyepieces are mounted in
aluminium, black anodised barrels to get the best alignment. We
provide single layer as well as multi-layer anti-reflection
coatings on the lenses
for maximum transmission of light and minimum internal
reflections, thus ensuring quality performance. |
